About SJRC Texas

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children – Texas (SJRC) cares for children and families who have been affected by trauma, abuse and neglect. We are their safe haven and offer help and hope to begin the journey of healing.

In 2014, there were 66,572 cases of child abuse and neglect in Texas. 8,012 cases occurred in the greater San Antonio area (Texas Department of Family and Protective Services 2014 Annual Report). Many of these children witnessed family violence, drug abuse and its effects on the family, were abused and neglected, wondered where their next meal would come from, and wanted for love and affection.

SJRC Texas cares for close to 100 children each day from the Greater San Antonio and surrounding area. We strive to provide the best care possible and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our work raising children in foster care, the mental health of children and families, and the welfare of children and adoptions – creating forever families.

We are raising the next generation of children here in our community who will hopefully be able to contribute to the community and help make it a better place. Your participation and support is greatly appreciated by the children and families we care for.
